Between 1998 and 2024, Spence held key contract positions with companies including Motorola Mission Control, Amicus, Marketplace Bank, Wellspring Resources, and Merrill Lynch. At Motorola, he helped manage systems for the Iridium Satellite constellation, a global GPS-based telecommunications system.

Maritime and Marine Salvage

Spence is a certified Master Merchant Mariner with a long career in the United States Merchant Marine. From 1990 to 2015, he specialized in marine salvage and towing operations, particularly in the Caribbean.
